Ascend Mind and Body Tampa office at 3971 Moran Road, Suite 101 - where Tampa therapy patients meet our clinicians

The hardest part of finding a therapist in Tampa is not finding one with an opening - it is finding one with an opening who actually does what you need. Trauma work is different from couples work. CBT for anxiety is different from IFS for parts work. DBT for emotional regulation is different from grief counseling. At Ascend, we match you based on what you are working on, not just who has the earliest slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have therapists seeing patients in Tampa?

Yes. Multiple licensed and pre-licensed clinicians see Tampa patients at our Moran Road office and via Florida telehealth. Most new clients start with same-day or next-day appointments.

What modalities do your therapists practice?

CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, and ERP (for OCD). We treat anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, life transitions, couples and family concerns, women’s mental health, ADHD coaching, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

Does therapy in Tampa take insurance?

Kaylee Mills Brenneman is in-network with Medicare and UnitedHealthcare. Most other therapists are fee-for-service; we provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. $75 sessions are available with our supervised graduate intern.

Can I do couples therapy at the Tampa office?

Yes. See our couples therapy page for modalities and scheduling. Sessions are 60 minutes; most couples meet weekly to start.

Is telehealth therapy as effective as in-person?

For most concerns - anxiety, depression, trauma processing, couples work - the clinical outcomes are comparable. Some conditions (severe OCD with ERP, certain psychological testing) are better in person. Your therapist will recommend the right fit at intake.

Can I see a therapist and a psychiatrist at the same practice?

Yes. Our Tampa psychiatric care and therapy teams share one chart and coordinate care directly. No faxing, no re-telling your story.
