Who We Are

Ascend Mind & Body is a Florida-based integrated medical practice combining primary care, psychiatry, talk therapy, and ketamine therapy under one roof, with offices in Wesley Chapel, Tampa, and Lakeland plus statewide Florida telehealth. Read more about our approach.

What We Believe About Clinicians

  • You are a professional, not a volume engine. Our providers see patients for the time clinical care actually takes - 45-minute new-patient primary care visits, 60–75 minute psychiatric evaluations, 50-minute therapy sessions.
  • You should work with other clinicians, not in isolation. Our shared-chart, integrated-team model means consult is a Slack message away, not a faxed note that sits unread.
  • You should be paid fairly. Competitive compensation with equity paths for long-tenured providers. Transparent pay bands, not negotiate-if-you-dare.
  • You should have time to be a person. We protect schedule for charting, lunch, and professional development - because tired clinicians make worse decisions.

Current Clinical Roles

We are continuously recruiting qualified clinicians in the following areas:

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) - full-time and part-time, Wesley Chapel, Tampa, Lakeland, and telehealth.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) - all locations, telehealth available.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) - couples and family specialization preferred.
  • Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (RMHCI) - supervision hours provided toward full licensure.
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) - full-scope outpatient psychiatry, in-person and telehealth.
  • Family Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physicians (FNP, DO, MD) - Wesley Chapel and Tampa.
  • Licensed Psychologists - particularly with psychological testing experience.

We treat every patient as a whole person - mind and body. We practice evidence-based care supplemented by clinical judgment, not the other way around. We respect patient autonomy and informed consent, including for services like ketamine therapy that require careful framing. We support our team members through real mentorship and peer consultation.
